Fiber Construction Lead Hand – Lockport

We are hiring a full-time Fiber Construction Lead Hand to join our team at Valley Fiber located in Lockport. This position reports to the Fiber Construction Manager.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead/Run Fiber Construction crews on the placement of Fiber within RMs
  • Operate various equipment for installation of fiber
  • Install fiber, NIDs, Test Stations, MSTs
  • Maintenance on equipment
  • Vehicle, and trailer inspections
  • Update programs for work completion
  • Request materials for assigned tasks
  • Work in a crew environment
  • Communicate and work with the Fiber Construction Management

What You Bring:

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to lead by example

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work long hours
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50lbs – 75lbs
  • Work in a team environment with other Leads and Supervisors
  • Staying away in hotels a requirement
  • Other tasks as assigned
