HR Generalist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and initiatives, contributing to the overall success of our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about human resources and eager to make a difference in the workplace. This position reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources.

What You’ll Do:
– Assisting with recruitment and hiring for entry level-individual contributor
roles.
– Working together with team leads for internal promotions and transfers.
– Coordinating exit interviews for departing employees.
– Being a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and
concerns.
– Conducting investigations and recommending appropriate actions to
resolve conflicts or disputes.
– Staying informed of relevant employment laws, regulations, and best
practices.
– Assisting team leads with coaching and progressive discipline
conversations as needed.
– Tracking HR metrics and analytics.
– Overseeing programs that support employees and ensuring that the
workplace is diverse, fair, respectful, and inclusive.
– Creating and revising job descriptions.
– Facilitating Predictive Index readbacks.
– Other projects and duties as assigned.

Who You Are:
• Human Resources Degree/Diploma is required.
• CPHR Designation is an asset.
• 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role is required.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Previous experience using an HRIS system is required.
• Active listening skills.
• High level of professionalism.
• Ability to maintain discretion with highly confidential and sensitive
information.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• High degree of organization.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to work overtime as workload requires.
• Ability to be mobile between office locations.
