Sales Development Representative

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Business Sales team. The SDR will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business by proactively generating outbound leads and booking meetings for the Business Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a robust pipeline of qualified leads through effective prospecting and communication strategies.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) reports to the Executive Director, Business markets.

What You’ll Do:
• Execute outbound lead generation activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement, to identify potential clients interested in our commercial telecommunications products and services.
• Qualify and nurture leads by understanding their business needs, pain points, and objectives, and effectively communicating how our offerings can address those needs.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Sales team to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads and ensure that leads are properly tracked through the sales pipeline.
• Generate qualified meetings each day, consistently meeting or exceeding lead generation targets.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Product, to stay updated on the latest product offerings and industry trends, incorporating this knowledge into lead generation efforts.
• Utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to log all activities, record relevant information, and document the progress of each lead.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified leads and the appropriate members of the Business Sales team.
• Continuously optimize lead generation strategies based on feedback and results, contributing to the development of best practices within the team.

Who You Are:

• Previous experience in a Sales Development Representative or similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and articulate value propositions to potential clients.
• Familiarity with commercial telecommunications products and services is a plus.
• Self-motivated and driven by achieving and surpassing goals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
• Proficient in using CRM systems to manage lead and activity tracking.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Resilience and persistence in the face of challenges and rejection.

Working Conditions:
• Working out of our Winnipeg, Winkler, or Lockport offices.
