Project Coordinator – Network Construction (Winnipeg, Winkler)

We are looking for a Winnipeg or Southern Manitoba based enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Coordinator – Network Construction to join our team. The Project Manager – Network Construction reports directly to the Superintendent.

Who You Are:
– Demonstrable experience in construction services, administrative support, or construction project management
– Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills are necessary
– Experience in management of both 3rd party and internal resources
– Experience in utilizing various construction management software platforms
– Experience in Microsoft Project or other project management software applications is an asset
– Valid class 5 driver’s license is required
– Proficiency in MS Office is required
– Ability to work closely with external and internal teams to support project objectives and tasks
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Demonstrated high level of professionalism
– Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
– Working in a fast-paced office environment
– Ability to thrive under pressure and meet short deadlines
– Understand importance of production metrics and KPI’s
– High level of organization
– Efficient time management skills
– Ability to adapt to changing priorities
– Ability to collaborate as a team player and work independently

What You’ll Do:
– Responsible for supporting all aspects of Valley Fiber construction projects for fiber optic network expansion
– Work together with the project management team, outside contractors, and VF internal teams to support all processes related to the construction projects
– Data tracking and reporting into the multiple construction and project management software platforms
– Assist project managers to maintain schedules, budgets, and project updates
– Work with Valley Fiber departments in assembly and execution of third party bid packages and contracts
– Maintain construction management software applications for budgeting, costing and scheduling
– Assist managers as needed to ensure data flow for construction performance metrics and KPI reporting
– Support Project management team requirements through communication and collaboration between contractors and internal Valley Fiber departments

Working Conditions:
– Ability to work on internal systems to ensure reporting and deliverables are being met
