We are looking for a Winnipeg or Southern Manitoba based enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Manager-Network Construction to join our team. This position reports to the Superintendent- Network Construction.

Who You Are:
– Demonstrable experience in infrastructure construction project
management (preferably in-ground fiber optic FTTH)
– Experience in project management of both 3rd party and internal resources
– Experience in managing multiple projects across wide geography
– Experience in utilizing various construction management software platforms
– Experience providing monthly reporting on costs/timelines vs. plan while
reforecasting as required
– Experience in Microsoft Project is an asset
– Ability to read civil infrastructure drawings
– Previous work experience in communicating with contractors
– Valid class 5 driver’s license is required
– ArcGIS software experience is an asset
– Proficiency in MS Office is required
– Ability to work closely with external and internal teams to drive project
objectives and tasks
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Demonstrated high level of professionalism
– Negotiation skills for communicating with contractors
– Ability to multitask efficiently
– Meticulous attention to detail
– Working in a fast-paced office environment
– Ability to thrive under pressure and meet short deadlines
– Understand importance of production metrics and KPI’s

What You’ll Do:
– Delivering on-time and on-budget construction projects for fiber optic network
expansion throughout Manitoba
– Managing specific projects from concept to commissioning including scope,
schedule, finance, risk, quality, and resources
– Working together with internal business development teams, planning &
engineering, and field construction of civil and fiber activities with both internal
and third party contractors
– Maintaining and deliver all reporting requirements with respect to project
schedules and budgets
– Coordinating schedules among disciplines and construction tasks
– In field contractor coordination, site reviews, taking in contractor requests,
communicating
Working Conditions:
– Conduct site visits to meet contractors and internal production teams as
required to ensure project performance is met (50% of time spent in field,
50% of time spent in office)
– Ability to work on internal systems to ensure reporting and deliverables
are being met
– Ability to work overtime and/or be on call if required
