Video Production Specialist

Valley Fiber Ltd. is a locally owned and operated technology firm based out of Winkler, MB. The ever-growing need for fast and reliable telecommunications has spurred on innovation. This innovation and its almost limitless potential have been one of the core passions for the Valley Fiber Development Team. For the last 3 years, this team has been working on bringing its next generation conscious fiber optic infrastructure design to the region. Valley Fiber has formed many partnerships with industry-leading developers to create and finalize its innovative design. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Video Production Specialist to join our team.

Who You Are:
• Previous experience in video production, editing, and content creation
• Relevant education or training is an asset
• Valid class 5 driver’s license is required
• Knowledge of video production processes and technologies
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe
After Effects
• Proficiency with 3D rendering software such as Unity or Blender is a
significant asset
• Experience with VR or augmented reality technologies is a significant asset
• Proficiency with professional camera, video, and lighting equipment is a
significant asset
• Continuous learning and development of new creative skills
• Creativity and an eagerness to learn
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well independently
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

What You’ll Do:
• Coordinating, directing, shooting, and editing Valley Fiber video content
• Direct video productions ranging from single-camera productions to multi-
camera field and studio productions
• Operate and direct the operation of professional cameras, audio equipment,
lighting equipment, and related equipment to effectively record a variety of
promotional materials
• Editing of recorded video and audio and the necessary post-production
required to meet the required quality standards
• Maintain and oversee the maintenance and organization of video
production equipment as well as post-production equipment and software
• Research and implement new video production techniques and
technologies for Valley Fiber

Working conditions:
• Work is typically performed in an office, studio, or field production
• Ability to lift and place equipment that may weight up to 25 pounds
• Ability to be on call for occasional evenings and weekends as required
